How to Submit an “Ask The Readers” Question

The best part of Prairie Eco-Thrifter is the community. It’s you, the readers who make this site valuable.

One feature that helps to build community is discussion.

How it works: Most weeks, I will publish a question from a reader just like you. Other readers then respond with their own experience, opinions, and advice. Topics range from money management, going green, living healthy, or making good career choices.

If you have a question you would like some feedback on, use these tips:

  • Keep it brief. While some background is helpful, you don’t need to share your life history. A two-paragraph story is best since readers only have so much time to sit and read.
  • Be general — and specific.  “How do I save retirement ?” interests more people than “How do I save for a snow mobile?” That said, a few details about your personal situation help readers provide better answers.

And if you need to be anonymous for any reason, please let us know. We know that sometimes entire families read the site and privacy needs to be protected.

That’s it, really. If you’d like to submit a question for PET readers to address, email it to prairieecothrifter (at) gmail (dot) com.

PS: The best way to see when your question gets published will be to sign up for my RSS feed. I will also send out an email letting you know the date.
