For all of you out there who are tired of referring to their back side as cottage cheese, listen up. Do I have news for you!
In my recent journey to improve my health and get myself in the best condition possible, I have discovered some great ways to actually get rid of cellulite, and guess what- they don’t even cost money. Here is what I have discovered:
Eat lots of fruits and veggies: Fruits and vegetables contain high levels of nutrients and antioxidants and work great at flushing toxins out of the body, including fat. Next time you are prepping a meal or snack for yourself, make sure it is composed of mainly produce. Not only will eating this way decrease your cellulite, but it will also improve your overall health. I can honestly say that I have never felt so healthy and energetic.
Avoid junk food and processed food: If something comes in a box or a bag and has more than one ingredient listed on the side then don’t buy it. Limiting, if not eliminating your intake of processed foods is a sure way to reduce your cellulite. Those foods are just loaded with preservatives and chemicals that actually change how your body metabolizes for energy. Start filling your carts with fresh ingredients, whole grains, and bulk goods such as beans, lentils, and nuts.
Avoid alcohol and soda: Alcohol and soda are full of toxins that are harmful to your body. In fact, both can cause cancer if you’re not careful. Start cutting back on both of these for the sake of your overall health. The cellulite loss will be a bonus.
Don’t smoke: I have been lucky in that I have never smoked so this isn’t an issue for me. If you are currently a smoker, call your local health agency and find out how to enroll in a smoking cessation program. Smoking puts toxins into your body that pollute your blood stream and affect your circulation, metabolism, and breathing. It also weakens your heart making it harder to get physical activity which is great for your health and cellulite reduction. Plus, it costs a ton of money; money that could be better spent on other things that are important to you.
Drink lots of water: I grew up on water. It was all we ever had to drink. When we were thirsty, we grabbed water. I am so grateful for this because now as an adult, that is all I drink and my body shows me the benefits. Drinking water helps your body flush out toxins and fat and hydrates. In North America, we are fortunate to have water to drink so take advantage of that fact.
Exfoliate: Exfoliate in the shower every couple days. Brushing your skin stimulates circulation and lymphatic flow which helps the body get rid of toxins (cellulite). Here is a recipe for making your own at home.
Maintain a healthy weight: If you work to maintain a healthy weight for yourself, your body then maintains an equal balance of fat and muscle. This can be done by eating healhty (as discussed above) and getting regular physical activity. The physical activity helps keep your heart, lungs, and muscles strong as well as tones the skin so cellulite doesn’t show. Here is a sample exercise plan you can try right at home.
Avoid dairy: Now this tip may not be for all of you, but I have found that since I cut out dairy, I have lost a substantial amount of cellulite. Dairy is known for making your lymphatic system sluggish so that it isn’t as efficient at detoxifying. If you don’t want to cut out dairy entirely, try at least limiting your portions.
Avoid meat: Ever since my husband and I started eating vegetarian, we have both lost fat all over our bodies. Our energy has increased and our clothes are getting bigger. Meat is high in fat and very hard to digest. Try limiting your meat intake and see how you feel after a month. I bet you will feel and look better.

Cellulite: let’s Get Rid of It.
I’m one of those people who have very little fat on my body, but what fat I have is all cellulite. I have found dairy to be a big factor in causing cellulite. I no longer consume dairy. Another big factor is that I tend to sit for long periods at my job. Getting up and moving around every once in awhile gets my blood circulating again. Since eliminating dairy and keeping my blood circulating, my cellulite has been going away. I don’t smoke, drink soda, or eat meat; so I can’t say how much these affect cellulite. I do eat processed foods like bread, dry noodles, oatmeal, … I haven’t found them to have any affect on cellulite.
I am glad you have been noticing some reduction.I found when I cut out animal products in my diet my cellulite went way down.
