Hello and welcome to the 4th edition of the Link Love Carnival. The Link Love Carnival is an avenue I created where bloggers can work together to “build a better world“. Each month a charity for the carnival is chosen. This month, our charity of choice is The Livestrong Foundation. All of us know someone who has had or is living with cancer, so we are banding together in June and help find a cure.
This month I am happy to say that collectively we have raised $100. For the first month in doing this that’s great. This carnival will just continue to grow and our donations to different causes will continue to grow. Overtime we will make a real difference.
If you would like to join us in our fight against cancer, you can make a donation by clicking here.
In recognition of all of these amazing and helpful people, I am sharing their article of choice in this week’s roundup.
Personal Finance
Crystal shares with us the financial implications she encountered when she took her pet pugs to the vet. I to have experienced “the vet bill” in the past but to me my furry friends are still worth it.
Kyle tells us how to avoid payday loan scams. You can conveniently find a payday lender online. However, due to the high demand for payday loans, payday loan scams are sprouting up as well.
Heartland Frugalista interviewed Annie LeFort about composting 101. I love hearing stories about how others are doing their part to live sustainable. We also compost and we love it.
Suba tells us why you should not use your 401K. Do you know how many fees and expenses your paying?
Health
I have some tricks I have found for work life balance.
That concludes this edition. I hope you have enjoyed being a part of our mission this month- finding a cure for cancer.
In July, the charity we will be donating to is Conservation International. The challenges confronting our global environment and the needs of the world’s human populations have never been greater; the future, quite literally, is in the balance. Every person on Earth deserves a healthy environment and the fundamental benefits that nature provides. But our planet is experiencing an unprecedented drawdown of these resources, and it is only by protecting nature and its gifts – a stable climate, fresh water, healthy oceans and reliable food – that we can ensure a better life for everyone, everywhere. Conservation International aims to influence the course of global development, demonstrating to governments, institutions and corporations alike that a path that values nature is essential for human well-being – and the well-being of all life on our planet.

Ps: Happy Canada Day to all of my Canadian pals!
