moving Summer Is The Season To Move

Are you thinking of moving? Have you hit the point where your current home no longer meets your needs? Well, if moving is in your future, consider moving in the summer for these 5 reasons:

  1. Better on the kids. In most cities, there are a plethora of summer programs available for kids to join. By having your children enrolled in a program in your new area, they have the opportunity to meet future school mates. This will remove the new kid label when they start school in the fall.
  2. Increased daylight. You have longer days to get packing done and you have longer nights to check out perspective properties. Daylight allows you to see all the details up close on a house compared to at dusk.
  3. Larger selection. There is always a large selection of houses available for purchase in the summer because people find it easier to manage a sale with summer schedules. This gives you a higher chance of finding something that meets your needs and meets your budget.
  4. Yards are in bloom. You will be able to see a potential property’s yard maintenance requirements so you know what to expect once you moved in. This keeps you from biting off more than you can chew. Having to hire a maintenance company would not exactly fit with your frugal lifestyle.
  5. Garage sales are everywhere. If you are moving and want to declutter, you have the perfect opportunity to sell your stuff in a garage sale. This saves you moving costs if you require less loads to be moved. It also helps you with finding anything you might need for your new house on the cheap.
These 5 steps may not sound like much, but when compounded they can make a big impact on your moving experience. If you are moving, best of luck and let us know if you found any of these helpful.
