money Slush Your Way Out of Being Over Budget

No matter how hard we try, we aren’t always able to stay within budget. For one reason or another, one of our categories gets over spent. If it isn’t groceries, it’s entertainment, or something else we didn’t account for. What though can you do to limit the stress when bill paying time comes at the end of the month? Having a slush fund is the answer.

Every month, make it a priority to put aside a little extra money to account for flex in your budget. This will make sure you have the cash ahead of time to pay for the bill at the end of the month. We do this and it works quite well. We put the allocated money in a high interest savings account after each pay day. By putting it in a high interest account we make a little extra money on that amount. If we don’t use the slush fund one month, that interest will carry over and we will have more money to use if we need later on.

I highly recommend this method as a “finance savvy” tip. Not only will you limit the stress in your life but you will be prepared for the unexpected. You won’t have to worry about finding a way to make ends meet.

Give this tip a try. I can promise you it will work.
